I got a pair of the ProFlex® 347 Long Cap Lightweight Gel Knee Pads at a time when I was doing body work on diamond plate floors on a regular basis. As luck would have it a foot injury and a job duty change meant I no longer had a need for a knee pad, at least not on a regular basis as my new job required lots of standing and working overhead.

Fast forward a few months and my supervisor “volunteered” me to repaint some traffic lines in our shop. Great, I thought, “Just what I want to do, spend a day on my hands and knees”. As I was mixing up the bright yellow paint that will alert our shop patrons where they should safely walk I remembered the ProFlex gel knee pads in my tool box. I strapped on the 347’s and proceeded to put the first coat of paint in the marked out lines on the floor and found myself not hating the job as much as I anticipated. As a matter of fact, the 347’s are quite stable when working on your knees for extended periods and the gel makes even a concrete floor disappear. After the second coat of paint and then pulling up the masking tape marking off our pedestrian lines I was truly impressed. The ProFlex long cap gel knee pad is so comfortable and stable I’m looking forward to the next job I have to do on hands and knees.

My only complaint was occasionally the straps would bunch up when I’d get up to get some materials or another brush but I attributed that more to the type of uniform pants I was wearing than any actual fault in the knee pads themselves.
The straps are easy to adjust and easy to snap on and off which makes taking them off to do some other jobs in between time required on hands and knees quick and easy.
If you spend any time on your knees on the job I’d highly recommend these and your knees will probably thank you!
