St. Paul, Minn. (February 3, 2011) – Ergodyne announced today the official launch of the ProFlex® 750 At-Heights Construction Glove. This groundbreaking glove delivers the comfort, durability, and protection required for climbing as well as the fit and dexterity needed to get the job done right in the world’s highest work zones.

Designed to reduce fatigue and discomfort while climbing, the 750 At-Heights Construction Glove features strategically placed padding on the upper palm and on the lower 2/3 of the fingers for gripping rungs. The fingertips on the glove are double-layered for durability but remain padding-free for high dexterity. The glove features a double layer palm using synthetic leather underneath an ultra-durable version of Clarino™ for maximum wear. Combine this with Kevlar® stitching on the palm and fingers and you’ve got one super durable glove – the ProFlex® 750.

“The ProFlex® 750 At-Heights Construction Glove is truly a first-of-its kind hand protection option,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO of Ergodyne. “This one-glove solution provides the necessary features for climbing comfortably, efficiently, and safely along with superior fit and dexterity for detail work once at-heights workers have reached the aerial jobsite.”

Today, many at-heights workers use belay, rope, or rock climbing gloves when ascending a tower or other aerial applications. These gloves may provide the protection they need while climbing, but they are often too bulky for detail work once they reach the work zone. Consequently, many workers carry a second pair of work gloves. The ProFlex® 750 one-glove solution for workers at-heights eliminates the need for second pair of gloves in applications where you never want to haul up more than you need.

“My crew and I tested the ProFlex® 750 At-Heights Construction Glove at our 200 feet above the ground office,” said Brian Bicknese, Tower Operations Manager at Vertical Limit Construction. “We were excited to find a multi-solution glove that delivers on both the needs of climbing and detail work. This is the glove for our industry.”

The ProFlex® 750 At-Heights Construction Glove is available April 15 at all authorized Ergodyne distributors. Get a sneak peek at the National Association of Tower Erectors trade show February 21-24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
