I have owned the Arsenal 5815 for about 7 months now and it has really impressed me. The rubber base doesn't have a nick, cut, puncture, or ripped stitch to be found and the rest of the bag has held up the same. Mine came with a plastic parts organizer and the 5899 bag as well which was a welcome bonus. The plastic organizer included didn't take much abuse before it started to crack and a latch broke off, even before subject to below zero temps. But it was free and would definitely last if treated decently, a luxury I could not afford it. I found that space for shorter handled tools ran out quickly, and was also hampered by long handled tools that cut a bit into the lower pockets capacity. The height has also been a small issue with the addition of some long handled screwdrivers that need to be moved to the center section in order to completely close the side zippers without bulging them out a lot at the top. Really though, apart from minor organizational issues that will obviously vary greatly from person to person I am completely pleased with this bag. Being able to completely close up and protect all of my tools and some extra gear when it's snowy, rainy, dusty, or tidal wavy is awesome. and the shoulder strap is great for those refusing to be caught with their pants down just because the job changed (good thing that NEVER happens). With some common sense and simple care this is a piece of any arsenal that will not disappoint, and I definitely recommend.

    Great bag, but…
The good, or should I say great, part about this bag is it is TENACIOUSLY TOUGH! The center compartment is deep and long, the inner pockets are roomy, and the outer zipper compartments can handle 12 inch long tools. The zippers are rugged and with the larger loops, small padlocks can be used for added security.
As great as this bag is, one shortcoming is the main compartment as it is narrow. It will hold battery operated tools, a spare battery or two, and maybe a small charger, but not much more. If you carry your cordless tools in another case, this should not be a problem for you as your drill index, apex sets, hammers, wrenches, and the like will fit.
The main outside zipper compartments have sewn-in dividers for screwdrivers, box-end wrenches, with some larger ones that will hold a multimeter, small apex set, and small or medium sized flashlight. As numerous as these pouches are, they are too small to accommodate a regular diameter sized screwdriver handle. I have several short shaft standard and Philips screwdrivers and only the shaft fits, handles do not. As such, they are not held securely.
The bag does come with a carrying strap, but not sure how comfortable it is as my bag is too heavy to really use the strap. A divided plastic container and zipper pouch are included. The container has adjustable sections /dividers and is good for carrying an assortment of small nuts, bolts, nails, washers, parts. The zippered pouch is also very rugged and can hold several tools such as a loose box-end wrenches or maybe a small nutdriver set.
Overall, the bag is rugged and should last you a long time.

This is an updated long term review. Going on a year and a bit of running the 5815 and I still love it. Everything from my earlier review still stands true with a few exceptions. Having added the buddy organizer system to my, umm, arsenal, I found that the weight of this bag has reached "last call" status. The shoulder strap is now a must and therein lies the problem, it's a little uncomfortable, and weak. The edges dig into my neck if I don't position the strap perfectly and recently one of the hooks on the strap actually busted right off while going up a (thankfully) short flight of stairs. Which leads me to a previous complaint, I can't fully close the top and side zippers at the same time. If you are like me and utilize almost every available of bit of storage this bag has to offer you know what I mean already. The top will only close with sides open, and vice versa. That means that when you most need those zippers(a tumble down some stairs) you've probably already given up on them and only two thirds close the sides. I think a big help to this product would be to add some padding and a nicer edge to the shoulder strap and some stretchable edging around the zippers to give you that bit of extra give and mercy on the zipper, just like your holiday dinner sweatpants.

Thanks for the thorough feedback, Dan! It sounds like you’ve put the bag to the test and possibly might even need a larger one or a second bag. The capacity is 100 lbs. and it sounds like you might be getting close. Our 5808 is going to give you a little bit more room overall but not as many pockets to organize. The wider attachment of the shoulder strap on the 5808, however, could give you a little more relief while carrying. We are launching new and improved options in 2014, so stay tuned for more from us!
