I'll have to be honest and tell you that I have never been a fan of , or even the thought of a gear bag because of the time needed to deal with it when the alarm sounds. Well, I have tried one, and my ideas have changed dramatically. I keep my radio, coat and helmet in my vehicle, but the bunker pants are a different story. I take them with me everytime I leave home. So that means transporting them from the kitchen to the truck daily, at minimum.
What really sold me on this gear bag was the size, large enough for the pants amd more if I need it. The ease of which I can access my gear, by merely pulling the sides and the zipper opens easily. And I can jump into my gear while it is still in the bag and quickly step out of it and be out the door. I have added 5 photos in one to show how I am using it in my life.
    Images:
    1. shows how neatly it fits into my F-150 extended cab
    2. gear in bag by the door(note ergodyne suspenders)
3.ease of opening by pulling zippers apart (I keep the logo to the left side so I can always tell which the boots are pointing)
    4. ready to plow snow but gear is in the bag and in the truck
5.in the gear while still in the bag, but ready to step out easily because it opens flat. no tripping allowed

Bottom line is, I love it.

I wasn't issued a gear bag when I was picked up due to "budget constraints", so I had to make due with my parachute bag. So the first thing I noticed was how easy it was to pack and unpack my bunker gear. The bag has dual zippers allowing it to open from the center. They go almost all the way around, so I never have to struggle to get my gear in or out. The size of the bag has more than enough room for all my bunker gear. I never have to stuff it and sit on it to get it zipped up. The carrying strap is large enough so it's not digging into your shoulder, which makes it a breeze to carry. I go on standby to different stations and I'm always having to pack and go. The bag has survived being thrown into the bed of my truck a lot, and have yet to see any wear and tear. The zippers are holding up well, and the carrying strap seems strong enough to hold more weight. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good bag.
